Learning for Discipleship Taster Session
A ‘taster’ session has been arranged at our own St Paul’s Church, from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. This is described as a free-of-charge workshop session for those seeking ways of making their local church outreach more effective, and also a no-obligation ‘taster’ for the ten-week Learning for Discipleship course starting in April 2010. Entitled What Mission means Today, the morning will be run by our own Mark Greenstock, The Reverend Dr. John Rennie from Evershot, and Anne Bond from Corfe Mullen.

Sherborne Abbey Festival

A feast of music throughout the Bank Holiday weekend by performers including Lesley Garrett, Emma Johnson and the Tallis Scholars, a performance of Elgar’s great Oratorio, The Kingdom, by Sherborne Festival Chorus, and festival evensong sung by the joint choirs of Sherborne and Romsey Abbeys.

Gala concert of the Third International Children’s Choral Festival
Children and youth choirs will perform works by European and American composers in a gala concert in aid of St Margaret’s Hospice, Yeovil.
The young singers are taking part in a five-day festival of intensive music making with two top International choral directors at Sherborne School. The concert gives each choir the opportunity to show off its musical skills in the spectacular setting of Sherborne Abbey.
Free entrance with donations on the door. All proceeds to St Margaret’s Hospice Yeovil
